Edwin Edward could be running for governor tomorrow and I’d feel he would have a good chance to win.

Edwin ran for Congress back in 2014 after he got out of prison and he got his arse kicked and handed to him on a silver platter, lost by 25 points. LINK
Granted that was a race that was in the suburbs of Baton Rouge and parts of Acadiana and the North Shore as well but that's a good sample size right there.

Are these politicians really that good at selling themselves? Is it something else?
As long as they keep promising a lifestyle that relies on the government to a certain demographic, nothing will change. Free money and every time a baby is kicked out it means more money for them

Idk, might be the people living there. I mean they did vote for Bobby Jindal to be in office. Look how that turned out

Jindal's first term was pretty good and was along the lines of what he campaigned on.
Then against his own better judgement, he let some people get in his ear during his second term and convince him that being a deadbeat absentee Governor more interested in being the Governor of Iowa and resort to trying to paper over the budget with gimmicks and parlor tricks long enough to get out of town was a good idea.
Bobby Jindal deserved to end his second term in humiliating disgrace like he did.

Louisiana is a poor state and most poors tend to vote Democrat. Throw in the white guilt pussy liberals and suburban moms voting Dem and you’re fricked.
You couldn't be more wrong! Louisiana is a Red State when it comes to elections!
Both of our Senators are Republican, yes we unfortunately have a Democrat for a Governor, but that's because half of the party thought that backing Vitter and Rispone was the way to win the Capitol ( SMDH
Name the last time a Democrat carried Louisiana in a Presidential election? Obama didn't!
So if you really meant New Orleans or Baton Rouge when you were saying poors, just realize their aren't enough Republican voters that would be voting to get a Republican candidate through in an election.
