A bag is a bag be it from Outback or McDonalds. Makes no sense. $5 flat tip for me

The % tip they ask for is always so ridiculous

And then they make the UI treat you like an evil person for doing a custom tip that is actually equal to the work being done.

I love tipping the drivers cause they're doing a service for me and I know UberEats can't really touch that money, but I'm not giving someone a $15 tip just because my order was expensive but no more difficult to handle/drive over. My tip is based on time spent "working" on my order, as well as distance of the delivery.

Tipping is the new wage increase.

I have never understood why tipping is linked to bill price. Higher end food does not demand more effort by your waiter/delivery driver.

I expect higher end service with higher end restaurants.

$1-$2 for me.
Screw all the insanely higher menu prices and delivery fees.

You should also check out the menu prices on those apps versus the store menu too. And the service charge, delivery fee, etc in addition to the tip.

All in you could be paying nearly twice as much for your food at some places to have it delivered. Uber Eats in particular has insane markups and fees.

Yeah I seriously doubt you tip $5 on a bag from McDonald's.

I always assumed the tip was based on the driving distance. Never really paid attention I guess.

I view the entire concept as lazy regardless of where the food comes from.

My biggest issue is that they make you tip BEFORE delivery. I've had drivers that went above and beyond...called to see if I needed anything else, were polite, checked the order who I wish I would have tipped more. Inversely I've had drivers who took inexplicably long and clearly didn't check and delivered the wrong shite I wish I had tipped less....dumb model
