According to the USDA, butter is safe at room temperature. But if it’s left out for several days at room temperature, it can turn rancid causing off flavors. The USDA does not recommend leaving it out more than one to two days.

I guess the butter I buy is magic, Because it is fine for a week on my counter in its little butter tray.

I buy one of those packs with four sticks. Three go in the fridge and the one in the counter.

As God intended.

I’m cautious about drinking milk a day before the expiration date. I’m ruined from taking a gulp of spoiled milk.

If something is stored in the cooler at the grocery store you store it in the refrigerator at home.

No, salted butter can be stored in a butter dish on the counter for up to a week & that’s what we do.

I buy butter in the pound blocks now. 2.49 a lb..

I cut off a piece and leave it out till I’m finished. Also always leave cheddar cheese out for two days before I eat it,that way the flavor comes out.

Have drank milk two weeks after expiration. I have a very cold fridge for milk, beer, meat and water only.

I eat raw eggs from my chickens and a treat is the ground chuck from my local store. I’ll buy a five pound pack and eat almost a pound of it raw on the way home.

Leftovers are good in a cold fridge for over a week. Boiled shrimp will last two weeks.

I eat certain foods that have been out all night.
Going to order a butter crock now.

We keep a stick of butter on counter in covered dish. I initially thought this was disgusting but my wife insisted it was ok and way they did it when she grew up. Never had a problem with spoilage and now I'm disappointed when I find an empty butter dish and have to use hard butter like a cretan. I've had a Seranno ham on counter at room temp for a week eating slices off daily what yall think of that?
