1 - they want you to think you have a choice.

My girlfriend and I have this conversation multiple times weekly. I name five or six places. She shoots them down. Then comes back with it doesn't matter where we eat.

they need a starting point.. your answer launches them into "women thought about dinner" - there is no right/wrong answer.. blurt out whatever pops into your mind first & watch her go from there

I always answer that question with something i know they won’t want to get and it turns right back around to them just saying what they want.

I quit asking my wife what she wants. I get or cook food and if she doesn't want to eat that she can figure it out on her own.

Or they'll procrastinate to the point of saying I'm not hungry anymore" even though they are starving and just don't want to eat late because they wasted all that time.

Easy rule: you can only veto the other person’s suggestion if you immediately provide an alternative. If you don’t, we’re going to the last place suggested. Anyone who can’t live with that needs to grow up.

You just say “guess”, then when she says some place that she likes, you say “you got it”, and you drive her there.
Or, you just say we’re getting ______ I’ve already made reservations/ordered it to get picked up/delivered at _______. Women want to have their needs anticipated and provided for without having to voice them. A guy asking what she wants comes across as weak, while a guy who “knows” what she wants and makes intentional plans to provide it is seen as a strong leader. However, assume wrong, and you’re an a-hole.
