No they don’t. The only person outside of Houston I’ve ever seen do this was a Cajun in Breaux Bridge.
Only place I've seen it as well.

Some places will even bring you a little cup of crab boil on the side if you ask for extra spicy.
That’s a situation where I couldn’t help but be a rude sob

Texas people.
I saw 2 people split a 2 lb crawfish platter just last week in Texas.

rude how and why?
i often ask for a cup of the seafood boil water to dip my crawfish in, because places in lafayette do not season properly or let them soak. they don't mind this at all.

Seen it done many times. Don’t mind it either but don’t prefer it mainly because the heads end up dried out and I like sucking dah heads.

The Yankees in Shreveport do this. Some places will even bring you a little cup of crab boil on the side if you ask for extra spicy. Not sure the logic. When asked, they say well you taste it on your lips so same thing.
I’m from northeast Louisiana and I don’t dust mine because I think it’s silly but growing up my grandfather always did the boiling and he dusted them. He learned it while living and working in Roanoke Louisiana. I know very few people up here who do.

I've had them dusted in LC, Crowley, Carencro, and Ville Platte.

I remember when I was learning to read and write.

It’s always these mfers. 10% crawfish, 90%corn, using tongs to pick crawfish up

The best part of the crawfish is the orange fat in the head just as you peel off the tail. Chock full of spicy flavor.
When those 5’7”, 220 lb. dudes dust them, that fat is bland and gray. No thanks.

no they don't. It is more of a Lafayette thing than a Shreveport thing in my experience.

That vid is terrible lol What kind of pretentious arse drinks out of wine glass at a crawfish boil. They look like they belong in the grove at ole piss eating finger foods.

I lived thirty-some-odd-years and never once heard of dusted crawfish until I saw some Texans doing it a few years ago.

The best crawfish I've ever ate were dusted by a full blooded coonass.
