There isn't much difference between a modern double wide and a cookie cutter on a lot measured in sq ft by Pulte/DR Horton/etc.

stupid people have stupid priorities. We all know someone that will never be able to buy a home, and yet has a new top of the line truck every few months.

Careful, there might be a Waffle House nearby.

because at todays prices you literally have to decide whether to buy a house or that truck

you cant swing both of those notes and still pay utilities

They probably have an expensive truck, a mud boat, a hunting lease, and the newest piece of technology.

They don’t see a need for a brick and mortar home

Kid Rock hangs his cowboy hat inside a doublewide trailer he placed on the 102 acres he owns outside of Nashville, Tennessee.

It's delivered in two weeks. You can customize a few things in there as you go along. You can put a cool wrap on it. I wrapped mine in mossy oak. Very easy to clean. Simplicity at its finest.

You go to these houses and I go, ‘Where do you start in this thing?’ Like, ‘How many times do you use the movie theater?’ I’ve built one. I maybe went in there once. It’s just like a freakin’ maintenance nightmare.

If that trailer burns down or blows off the mountain, order another one, he said. It’ll be here in two weeks.

Even though the have operator money they are smart enough not to build a nice house close to a plant.

My last plant manager sold his home in Augusta and bought a trailer and put it on some land he owns. He got promoted, still has it and says he isn’t building.
