Its a small town. That snot nosed employee is likely the grandkid of one of those elders (unless you think DG imports them in from the Big City). If he isn't friendly, doesn't care about the customers, and has no pride, maybe those elders should've raised him better rather than sitting around eating pies and drinking coffee.

Or the snot nosed kid who was likely raised right and is in their 20s can grow up and act normal at work like their grandparents did. Raising kids correctly doesn't always mean anything. And they need to clean their noses out, it's disgusting, you're 29.

Do not try to pop this bubble. You'll be here all day. Already won the argument only to have people just say the data was made to be intentionally bad by the educated urban elite cabal to make rural folks look bad.

Somebody is late to the game. Dollar General Market is a version of Dollar General that now has fresh fruit and veggies and meat. Their distribution and quality are above the average Walmart.

They are building these all over the place.

I will say I used to live relatively close to a Dollar General. I used to enjoy going and getting things from there however, I would be incredibly sketched out when I went sometimes. The amount of methed out white folks made me very uncomfortable. This happened to me on multiple trips.

I saw a video the other day that showed a bunch of different DG's that all had well worn 4 wheeler tracks leaving the parking lots.

Most country folks have clogged arteries from all the fried food they eat.

Yall are missing out if you aint using their coupon app. Their $5 off $25 Saturday deals paired with other coupons on their app gets me out of there for $10 - 12 with plenty of essential items that don't go bad

For a time, I would do the $5 off $25 digital coupon at DG on Saturdays. I'd download that coupon and as many other digital coupons as they had for items I needed. Then when you are checking out you enter your number, and it takes the money off. I tried to see how high of a percent savings I could get by staying as close to $25 as possible and finding as many coupons for things I needed as possible. I got into the 45% range quite a few times. I think I might have hit 50% once or twice.

I dont take issue with it because they can stay afloat in some areas where the mom and pop with just the one store cant make it.

quote:

Dollar General is the largest discount retailer in the United States by the number of stores, with 18,190 stores located in 47 states as of February 25, 2022, with the greatest concentration of stores in the southern, southwestern, midwestern, and eastern United States.

They can give you cheaper prices and can actually have huge deals with suppliers and not have supply chain nightmares.

Also, i expect these $ stores to get a bad rap on here because going to one in a ity like Br is not the same as the DG Market that's down the hwy from me.

Michigan and NY are the meth capitols of the country.

I think people are forgetting that meth and fentanyl are huge problems in the cities as well.

I have 3 DG’s within 2 miles of my house. Wal Mart is a lot further and a major pain to get in and out of. I always go to DG.
