You can't pray with a dead person.

None of the Protestant denominations of today existed before the Protestant Reformation of the 1500’s
Look at how much Luther and Calvin quoted the early church fathers.
As a Protestant, I gladly call Ambrose, Augustine, and Aquinas my fellow Christians.

Be careful. You might cause them to malfunction if you ask them who wrote the table of contents.

Protestants are basically religious Confederates....traitors to the Christian faith

That’s more correct that saying we pray to her. We ask her to pray for us. Just like so many Protestants ask friends to pray for them.

I’m Catholic and it was watching Christian TV and even some of the anti-Catholic evangelists that brought me back to the Catholic faith after decades of not going to Mass. How ironic. The one takeaway from watching Christian TV is that Kenneth Copeland, noted Catholic basher, convinced me not to go to confession anymore or take communion. I believe Mr. Copeland’s net worth these days is in the $300 million range.

We absolutely don't summon dead friend's spirits and attempt pray with them.

There is no correct or all powerful or all good or knowing man made religion. There is only the word of God. That word is Truth. That word is Jesus. And that word was written on your soul at the dawn of time. You can choose to believe in it or not. That’s all that matters. Faith as small as a mustard seed.
Yeah, but haven’t we made all of those good things a little too abstract? A little too propositional?
This is why I like like my liturgy and being tied to church history through the creeds and prayers of saints before us.

How many times are you going to say that?
I bet you are just one helluva fisher of men. I bet your nets are bursting with converts.

The original church that did all those things split in 1054 AD. So no, the Roman Catholic church is not responsible for writing or “compiling” the New Testament.

I look forwarded to reading at least 95 Theses in this thread about why one denomination is superior to the other...
Martin Luther was calling out indulgences. He considered himself Catholic upon his death.

I only serve God. Outside of that, everyone else is more similar to me than God. God the Father is 100% God. Jesus is 100% God and The Holy Spirit is 100% God. That's who I serve.

Do you have a crew cut? Is your face red right now? Just curious.
