Scratch elliptical and that's me. I'm set up in an old barn with free weights, kettlebells, stand up bag, and a heavy bag.

Just got me one of those sand bags too... looking forward to trying that out.

IMO boxing is one of the best workouts you can do.

I like to read Mingo "you are fat and im not" threads before a workout for motivation

luckily there is apparently no shortage of such threads

I didn't make this thread Einstein. In fact, I make very few threads.

I love it. I do punches, knee kicks and elbows for about 10 mins. It's great for stress.

Basically, why does any human being not playing a professional sport need to be flipping tires.

...or pulling a sled for that matter.

I do strongman stuff. It's more fun than curls, jacks your heart rate up and is great for building muscle.

I find it funny that a guy who only does the two most sterotypical gym bro exercises wants to judge others for doing stuff that is challenging, like there's something wrong with doing exercises that are difficult.

She just needs to stop eating donuts and scones for breakfast with a Starbucks Triple Sugar shake with a dash of coffee and exercise at moderate intensity for 45 mins to an hour 3-4 times per week.

Hear hear.

People have made exercising WAY too complicated (and expensive) these days.

From a physiology standpoint, nothing has changed about the human body. Only people's mindsets. Lots of people think that the more expensive and complicated their exercising is, the more effective it is.

Exercise is nothing more than a matter of physical exertion under controlled conditions. Losing fat is simply calories out > calories in.

I run 4 times a week along with a routine of push-ups, abs, and some other body weight exercises. And I don't eat like shite. At 32, I'm probably in the best shape of my life (thanks Bowflex).

The only "equipment" I need? A t-shirt, shorts, and a pair of $65 running shoes I bought at a DSW with a BOGO deal.

This right here is why some people hate going to the gym. What is the big deal? There is a tire there for a reason, its not like she brought the tire into the gym. Stop judging other's and just do your damn workout.

HIIT workouts are highly effective and who the ducks cares if she is flipping tires or running on a treadmill.

Exactly.

We are a big fat nation with big fat excuses.

1. It's my genes.
Well, unless the Pilgrims and immigrants that followed were disproportionately fat as frick, that doesn't explain the obesity rate.

2. Eating healthy is expensive.
Rice, beans, chicken, pork, turkey, fish, many fruits, most vegetables, etc. - all cheap as shite in America.

3. Working out is expensive and time consuming.
You literally just have to get your heart rate up and burn calories on a consistent basis for up to an hour. Most people that say this spend over three hours in front of the TV daily.

We live in a stupid, lazy nation, not a victimized one.

If you are just wanting to lose weight just take up smoking and drink more coffee. It pisses people off, moves your bowels, and keep the weight down. It’s a win/win other than future health problems but nothing beats watching a fat guy run full sprint for 100 yards towards you, then taking 5 minutes to catch his breath, only to tell you smoking is not allowed around here. It’s like watching your kid hit his first homerun.

So it's more intense when she posts the picture of her working out with an inspirational quote about never giving up on her dreams or who she is as a person to instagram
