I have a Swedish friend who tells me that if you go to a bar and start talking to a girl it’s a given that she is giving it up. There’s no dating or waiting. Maybe that helps keep everyone happy.

Well they generally have a good work life balance. Almost everyone I know over 50 is only working for health insurance in the US. That’s not the case with socialized medicine, so it’s one less thing to “worry” about. Americans generally I’ve check to check till dead.

You can do this when South BR doesn't have to pay for North BR.

Norwegians emphasize education and child welfare beginning at 1 year old through high school, trade school and college. All tuition free. They obviously have the wealth and impose taxes to do so with a poverty rate of less than 1%.

I’ve never met a neurotic Norwegian or Dane, Swede or Dutch person. Children from a young age are raised well but not babied or subjected to helicopter parenting. They become self reliant.

Duplicating that in the U.S is unfortunately not remotely possible.

As a regular to Sweden with lots of friends there, this just isn't true. The stereotype that they do it a lot more than most when younger is mildly true. But in general, I'd say they're actually harder to impress in person than most peoples.

So "almost everyone" that you know over 50 is financially able to retire, yet they can't due to health insurance?

I call bullshite. They are working because they need to paycheck.

Weird. Literally about 30% of Norway suffers with depression, only 18% of Americans feel the same.

We should "gift" them about a million illegal aliens, we have plenty, and they're "free". Then we can monitor their "happiness". Liberals love immigration.

The commies progressed it all the way, and look how happy THOSE people were. No, it’s not progressive taxation that makes people happy. They are happy because they trust each other. And we would too if we got rid of the criminal clans.

We might actually be double the % of those Nordic countries and have more foreign born people than they do just people.

There’s prob like 50-60 million here.
