Why do people start dumb threads?

I semi-understand people getting miffed about "no problem"
"Of course" seems pretty obliging to me, so not really sure what you'd have an issue with

About a month ago at lunch my dad bitched about this exact thing to me. Our cute little waitress said it every time too

because language changes
why does everyone sign "Thanks" at the end of an email instead of "Sincerely?"

that generation encompasses people from 38-14. you should just say young people, it would make you look less stupid.

You’re cool with of course, but understand having an issue with no problem?
Thanks makes zero sense

In terms of etiquette, of course is considered more polite than you're welcome.

Of course - "absolutely, glad to do it"
No problem - "It didn't put me out that much" (according to people who complain about it)
It makes plenty of sense

I wasn't referring to you, I was referring to the old people you are referring to.

Millennials have learned that when we say you’re welcome boomers will just take more from us
It’s short for “of course you’re exploiting millennials”
