It makes them stand out in a crowd.
If you're the only clean shaven man in a room full of guys with beards, women will notice you first.
Logic fail

30 years ago, someone asked the pastor at our church if it was wrong for men to wear earrings. And he said that he didn't think so. He was still wondering why women wear them. He said some churches didn't want women wearing make-up. He said personally he was glad they do, they need it.

They like that type of fashion. Carhartt wearing midwesterners think southern frat attire is full on gay, people think wearing jerseys with another man's name on it is gay, people think no beard is gay, people think dating a crossfit-bodied woman is gay. People think men judging what other men wear is gay
People think things.
People think things.

Well, I don't have earrings, but maybe it's bc they don't give a shite what people think.
That's not a terrible quality.

To show that I had no fear, was the diamond in the hoop sported in my left ear.

My son-in-law has one. I hate it. Otherwise he’s a great young man.
Committed Christian, spoils my daughter, takes care of her ( some may remember my daughter and I were diagnosed with cancer two days apart in June last year), hard worker, comes from a solid family. His dad’s an architect, mother is a teacher and his grandfather has an engineering PhD from Stanford.
I say all that to say you can’t judge a book by its cover.
But I still hate it.

It’s more than just a gay signal. It’s a sign of vulnerability.
A dude with an earring is advertising a weakness when it comes to physical conflict. It’s just not a combat ready decision.

I assume they like to wear them and don’t care what others think. Same with some men wearing nail polish, skinny jeans, etc.
