Last night while putting my daughter to bed, she started complaining about her bad dreams. I tell her dreams are not real and that she has nothing to be afraid of, to just think happy thoughts when she has a bad dream, etc.

She replies with...

"No Daddy, sometimes my bad dreams are real. They come in the house and stand next to my bed and watch me sleep."

WTF.

Wow, my son said the same thing when I tucked him in last night too...

He's 19 though and was high as shite.

If you put an extra lock on your door, it would help keep Skillet out.

It's called sleep paralysis, pretty common. Sucks though.

She is probably experiencing some sort of combination of lucid dreaming or sleep paralysis.

do you happen to have any Holy Water present and accounted for because you might need the power of Christ to compel her.

The other night my 2 year old stood at the front door waving and saying "bye" over and over. Fun times!

Yea, sleep paralysis is a mofo! I used to have the worst dreams ever. Also had a recurring dream where Freddy Kruger would chase me around a couch and would cut me. It would actually hurt when he cut me and then I would wake up. Still don't watch any Freddy movies.
