I have no problems with keeping Confederate statues and memorials. I have no problems with keeping the traditions and hertiage of HBCs (as long as there is no formal policy of discrimination for public institutions).
For that matter, if a private university wanted to have all black enrollment (or all white, all Native American, all male, all female, etc., for that matter) - I would question their wisdom, but I think that is within freedom of association.

If you want to go to Southern, you can. With segregation, facilities could not be used by races not so designated. That's a big difference.

As someone who spent years interviewing people for jobs I can tell you that Historically Black University's put out a lot of Historically Bad Candidates.

I work on Savannah a couple of times a year, and see the kids that go there around town. Most of these people seem mildly retarded, and will probably never hold a job down.

I went to an HBCU on a diversity scholarship for undergrad. The education was OK if you were willing to work on your own. Biggest issue was the multiple academic bankruptcies that would be handed out to kids there.

Because they are historically black colleges and universities that were established during a period in this nation's history where blacks weren't afforded the opportunity to attend white schools, keyword being historically. They are no longer all black colleges and universities. Enrollment is open to all races you idiot.

i think that people in Louisiana are typically jaded by HBCU because Grambling and Southern are generally considered two of the worst when it comes to HBCU

HBCU exists to provide opportunities for blacks in which they may be prevented from and/or have difficulty accessing. This is due to multiple reasons ranging from low income to academic practices that are disadvantageous to the student (my issue).
