I am surprised someone on here knows what SCAD is.
My sister actually went there for a graduate school kind of thing. She's actually a success story, though. One of the very few, I hear.

Man...did you graduate from one? Because your reading comprehension is terrible.
The poster made a comment that they "generally suck". Then you cherry picked a handful that do have decent programs, out of a plethora that have abysmal graduation rates and objective reviews.
Proving that, in general, they do suck.
Your move ByrdieBoy

While I disagree with most of your OP, the question is not far off base. The real question should be, "why are grossly underperforming colleges allowed to exist when they serve little to no purpose?"
Some HBCUs and many, many other schools fit in that category.

This dude thinks HBCUs mean only blacks can go there lol. Idk where or if you went to college or not but you can apply there my man. It doesn't say blacks only. That's not a racist thing.

Lots of HBCUs have dual programs with some of the best universities in the in the country. Fisk University has dual programs with Vanderbilt and Morehouse has dual programs with GA tech. Lots of professors at Vanderbilt also taught at Tennessee State University. Most of the HBCUs also give minority scholarships to whites. Those schools have also produced countless millionaire's. Oprah Winfrey also went to a HBCU and she is amongst the most influential women in the world.

He didn't say that at all. He said it's a symbol of a dark part of our history. A vestige, if you will (or not, depending on your outlook of race in America).
Does a Confederate statue in a public park mean it's just for whites? No.
So, your inference is incorrect.

It's pretty much the same as keeping racist water fountains is what he said. No sir HBCUs and separate water fountains are not the same sorry.

So anyone with a 12 on the ACT can further their education?
Kidding, I don't think they stop any race from attending....

A quarter of a billion dollars a year in special funding the federal government set aside for historically black colleges and universities in 2011, the last year for which figures are available. These schools, known as HBCUs, can also apply for federal loans through the Historically Black College and University Capital Financing Program. Last year, they got $303 million from that program, on top of $1.1 billion in previously approved loans.
They get special funding, which is why they still exist. Not sure there'd be as many if they had to go without that.

Do you remember how long ago segregation existed?
Man, you are stupid.
Did you expected them to just close up shop and say "We are all good now. I'm sure the gumps will love us at bama".

Would you want to go to a historically black college?
Once they go black, they never go back.
