You should be thankful that you’ve lived this long and never had to understand addiction. Some people can’t drink 1 when there’s 30 in the fridge. They’re drinking 30.

I always thought a tall PBR in one of those little brown paper bags with a Winston hanging out the side of my mouth and a white t-shirt was so cool.

Why do liquor stores sell a single bottle of liquor if I'm not allowed to drink it on the way home?

The real alcoholics bypass the singles and get the 12 packs and drink that on the way home.

the law baw. So much for the land of the free

If I pull a 28 day hitch I should be able legally enjoy a few brews driving home

Most gas stations around me don’t have the higher gravity shite in bulk. Only solos.

If I’m gonna drink on the road, I don’t mess around with regular beer. Doesn’t have the desired effect fast enough

Why do stores sell bullets if you can’t kill someone?

I worked with a carpenter "Austin XXXXX" who bought a half pint of Ancient Age every day when we got off work. He would walk out of the liquor store, take off the cap and throw it in the trash can. He had no intention of not finishing it within 10 minutes of walking out the door.

He had a scar that started mid-thigh on his right side leg and went all the way down his leg and stopped right above his ankle. Looked like a rope under the skin. He said he was practicing his quick draw in front of the mirror one night and shot himself. The bullet went all the way down his leg, just under the skin and came out just above his ankle.

Now, that is a man's man!

Because they’re giving you the choice. You want to take the chance and crack it open on the way home? It’s probably fine. Until one day when it isn’t.

I used to love getting a tall boy at the gas station in metairie before hitting the causeway heading to northshore when I had my southshore gig. Relaxing way to deal with the traffic heading north bound.

So you only buy kegs because it makes economical sense, right? They are called “convenience stores” for a reason, you want a beer, they sell a beer. On another note I’d take a baw drinking a cold one after work in traffic next to me any day over some middle aged woman texting on her phone.

So the bums can get one can and drink it while loitering on the store property.

What's more surprising is that grocery stores don't sell single ones

A keg would go bad long before I could finish it

Why do daiquiri shops sell you a high octane alcoholic drink at a window while you're operating A motor vehicle?

Because buns and drifters steal single cans, so the store is stuck with a five-pack
