This one made it onto a magazine compilation cd. I think I saw them play at the Caterie (RIP).

I liked them ok back in the day but always classified them as a poor man’s Winger. Just not much very special on those two albums.

100%. RATT is THE best hair metal band of all time in my book. Even the thrash guys admit they were jealous of Warren & Robin’s riffs.

Lead singer for Warrant talked about a moment in 1991 when he walked in to either Capitol or whomever and they were taking down all their stuff and they put up guys in flannel and long shorts saying they were the new thing. He said, at that moment, I knew we were going to be washed up....done.

Should we just post music videos of acts from BR that maybe should have “made it”?

Yes. The lead singer of 12 stones. He played a huge vocal part in evanescence’s biggest hit.

This. I'm a drummer, but it starts with those fat, sharp, running riffs. That's where all the swagger and power comes from. Inspire me, and I'll drive it with a groove. Ratt is the best riffers.

PS: Hetfield name checks out.

Louisiana local musicians tend to be way behind the curve of what’s popular in New York and L.A., but not far enough behind to be on the edge of retro cool. Not only that, but Louisiana is an extremely difficult market to launch a music career from if you’re not literally a money laundering enterprise for a criminal gang (see Cash Money Records). As a result, it takes those bands longer to get noticed by coastal tastemakers who can actually make something happen for them beyond a 3.5 hr cover band gig at a local college bar or boat stop.

Basically, by the time a Louisiana.band finds a sound, gets good, and gets heard, the industry has already long since moved on to the next big thing.

Yep, agreed. I remember this song and video. I was into the hair metal right into GNR and then right into grunge. I didn't look back, so unfortunately bad timing for them. They should've at least tried going "heavier".

ETA: I was big into Metallica from the mid 80's through mid 90's.
