Nothing wrong with a blue collar living. I’d expect you conservative baws to respect that.

There are plenty of wealthy people who didn’t work or earn what they have. Inheritance and trust funds come to mind as well as the Sam Walton family.

I wouldn’t suggest that social injustice didn’t happen. It was prevalent in past generations. The farther back you go, it was more prevalent. I don’t think there’s a correlation between moving forward and removing objects even remotely associated with past eras.

It’s a never ending endeavor. You may as well rename cities, counties. Strip ancestors of Southerners of their land. Change last names of people. Institute a government ban on some first names.

In your opinion, who should reap the benefit of a rich family member?

Yeah I guess I’m not really talking about renaming stuff. Just a general rant

I think we can all agree slavery was wrong. The Civil War was a fricked up time.

It’s pathetic that people are obsessing over an event that happened that long ago

You do realize some people currently living had great grandparents that were slaves and some had great grand parents that were slave owners

If you are triggered by a 100 year old song, I pity you. Why can’t people just acknowledge it was a dark time in our history, and we’ve learned from it.

If people learned from
It they wouldn’t be losing their shite over people pointing out how fricked up it is now.

The problem is people didn’t learn from
It they romanticized a lot of it.

We were made stronger and greater from the adversity that we have suffered together as a nation.
We will not be made stronger or greater from the diversity these "progressives" want us to suffer in order to divide us .

You'd almost believe that black people are trying to say that their current situation was caused by events that happened in the past or something!

So free stuff and no more statues will allow them to finally do what the Irish, Italians, Native Americans, Asians, and most Latinos have already managed to do in far less time? Actually achieve the American dream and not whine all the time about oppression.
Nah, victim hood is the choice. Democratic Party has most of the AA community enslaved in a sense. I just don’t get why some of them don’t see this! Props to the truly “woke” black people who see thru the BS.

People are horrible for what they did in the 1800’s? Even if it was a societal norm? This makes absolutely no sense.

One of our problems is we're not judging people relative to the period in which they lived. There are plenty of things that were the norm back in the day that are seen as barbaric today. In a couple more centuries there will be things we do today that will be seen as equally savage. Someone in 2220 is going to think my dad was a child abuser for whipping my arse with a paddle when I misbehaved. Hell, it's already that way. But my dad was a father when corporal punishment was the norm. He was a man of his times, and it would be wrong to judge his character as a man based on something that was common in his day.
