Trump is a fricking clown and will win. He proves how pissed off the majority is in this country. The bullied have become the bullies these days and the majority will end up pushing back hard.

Let me help for those that have trouble thinking in context. ADA and Civil Rights laws are great attempts to make things "fair" and "right" and "moral". And as OP said, the Government should be obligated to follow such standards. But have these laws ended racism? Have they forced people to treat disabled people more fairly? Not in anyway that can be proven. There is no evidence that shows our society wouldn't have trended to the same levels of tolerance that exist now without the laws. The reason that tolerance is more common than hate now, regardless of the headlines, is because of societal changes; a better since of empathy has come over the general population. People didn't stop being racist because a law was passed. These types of laws are feel good measures that we have been taught to trumpet as savioristic changes. While they may be a great reflection of our current society's moral structure, and I do believe that those that fought for them were heroes, the laws themselves have not changed anyone's moral code or sense of fair treatment for those not like themselves. Their primary results have been BILLIONS of dollars made by shitty attorneys.

now there is an argument, never thought about that.

Yeah... great argument. We're going to take money from you and fix things. Now you must obey our rules and spend more of your money to make your business how we say it should be.

We can go ahead and wrap this thread up now.

And this was all done by self-righteous Christians? You're nearing full-retard.

Would it be OK with you if a restaurant refused to serve people of color?

Yes. The market would put them out of business. It would make the world work better because then everyone would know easily how to avoid racists.

There are no less racists or discrimination because of laws forcing businesses to do business with coloreds.

Nobody is forcing you to open a business. If you operate within an incorporated area, the citizens of that area have elected officials to govern on their behalf and you need to follow the regulations those representatives have enacted.

I think you would be surprised if you read the original ADA law passed by congress. Governmental, religious and non-profit organizations were exempt. The only recourse against non-compliance was compliance. No fines or penalties...only specific performance.
You can blame most of today's problems on activist judges.

So ADA is determined by local officials huh? I could just go to an area where local officials say it's OK to not spend money on ADA compliance?

I'll give you another try.

A free market relies most heavily on a robust civil justice system. What other recourse would a consumer enjoy in your utopia? Yelp?

I was simplifying it saying incorporated. The exact same concept applies to any area within the boundaries of the united states

The citizens of the United States have elected officials to govern on their behalf and you need to follow the regulations those representatives have enacted

(this has no bearing on the competency you feel our government or population has or if you think some organization has secretly controlled all elections)

Its not an argument. Its just the way things are. Have you now just learned of taxes? Where did all these roads and firemen come from did you just now wonder?

How about just not doing business with them anymore. I think he's trying to say why should lawsuits determine the fate of a business based on their practices... let people determine it by whether or not they continue to use said business.

I'm not making any arguments about anything to do with that. Simply trying to give the OP an argument as to why the government is able to impose regulations.

Agreed.

And as soon as we get this handled, let's start working to dissolve HR departments immediately after.
