Why can't free market determine things anymore?

I will preface this by saying that I am a mid 30's white male business owner so I am everything this country stands against but I just don't understand why people don't let the free market handle bad business anymore.
- I am a concrete guy that hires good people of all races and no issues with it.
- I fully understand why government funded and government run facilities must try to cater to all fairly.
- What I don't understand is why a privately owned business must cater to the same. If a retailer is privately owned and don't have handicap accessibility, why must they have it? We had a string of lawsuits around my area where a law firm came in and threatened law suits against several restaurants and businesses that weren't in compliance to get settlements. Several businesses just closed instead of having to remodel to conform to new standards.
- I recently built a new office and building and I had to install handicap accessible restrooms despite the fact that I am a private business and no one should ever use my restroom except my employees.
Why can't free market handle these things instead of lawsuits? A business should be able to decline business to anyone they choose to. If a cake maker doesn't want to make a cake for a gay wedding then let the free market handle it, people will stop going there. If a private business doesn't want to hire blacks, whites, females because they would be a minority within the company culture and that in itself is a liability these days, why force them to hire them?

That isn't a free market issue.

The free market exists only in theory. There has never been a truly free market anywhere, any time.

Would it be OK with you if a restaurant refused to serve people of color?

This happened in baldwin county last fall.
Lawyer paid some people to go around looking for specific regulations at pretty much every business and report back

Suing under the ADA guidelines has become an extremely lucrative racket. These lawyers will pay handicapped people to visit random retailers under the guise of being a patron to see if the business is ADA compliant. If not, they sue the business and give the cripple a cut of the winnings.

I'm not sure "free market" applies to handicap accessibility, dude.

yes. In this age of social media, the restaurant wouldn't last long but they shouldn't be forced to serve someone they don't want to. Let free market handle it. The same goes both ways though, I have been turned away from bars because they were black clubs that I was going to go in and check out. Whether they turned me away because I was just white or whether they wanted to keep anything from happening, I don't know and don't bitch about it.

Being ADA non-compliant is not about refusing service to anyone.

How many employees could a concrete business need?

The answer is no, so you wouldn't go there anymore. That's what makes it a free market. If I don't like that establishments policies I can choose not to go there instead of getting the government to force them into abiding by certain policies.

I hate it when people say this garbage.
His demographic is blamed for every single perceived problem in the Western world. Don't be so snide and ignorant.

Sorry OP my business only serves people who don't bitch and complain - you aren't welcome in it.
