re: Why aren't slow left-lane drivers way more of a recurring topic on here?

I find that the people who do this are often from Texas and/or drive trucks

Now you can get a ticket for passing on the right

Context matters. If someone is moving slower in the left lane than traffic is flowing is the right lane, then complete ignorance on their part.
If someone is moving at 7+ mph faster than speed limit in the left lane and is consistently moving faster than the flow of traffic in the right lane, then there’s some nuance here. The left lane driver should move right when possible. However, someone going 15 mph over doesn’t have the right to complain about getting slowed down in the left lane if the 7+ mph driver is actively passing folks in the right lane. At this point, the fastest driver is in the wrong.

It’s a very common topic.
Adults asking when to tip edges that topic out, but we have these threads often

Worse for me are the people who you see wanting to pullout in front of you and you say “ don’t you fricking do it” and they proceed to pull out in front of you and go so slow
That makes me rage like nothing else .

Slow left lane drivers aren't the problem. They can typically get passed on the right.
It's the left lane drivers driving at the speed limit paired with heavy traffic in the right lane, preventing others from driving over the speed limit. That's the problem.

I think people who don't use their blinkers should be talked about more.

And what was the point of them expanding I-10 to 3 lanes at Highland if no one is going to use the right lane. Everyday I get into the right lane when I approach Highland, and I’m usually the only one using that lane. I’ll fly by everyone in the middle and left lanes too. If people just drove like they’re supposed to then we wouldn’t have all this BS every single day.

A lot of people going slow in the left lane will speed up to try to prevent cars from passing them in the right lane. Those same assholes will slow down to let an 18 wheeler join the left lane and slow everyone down.

It's infuriating but people are already exponentially worse drivers than they were merely a few years ago. Slow left lane drivers are the least I have to worry about on my commute.
