i would absolutely never go on a cruise, and i dont care for disney world, but i used to enjoy the beach. but it seems like any place that has more than 5 grains of sand and some water attracts the trash from every corner of the world. and in turn every nice little beach town is getting ruined with crappy restaurants, high rise condos, surf shops and bars "where the locals go."

some smart guy needs to invent a vacation destination that attracts these people. you could have big babysitting services where you could drop your kids off day and night so you can party. no restrictions on where you can smoke cigarettes. golf cart transportation everywhere so your fat arse doesnt have to walk. fast food joints that pose as nice restaurants (they wont be able to tell the difference).

This is why I vacation in Tuscany...there are no places to rent in Tuscany, so don't bother trying to research...you just have to know someone that has a place there.

Last time I went to Daytona Beach the place was like an ashtray. Cigarette butts everywhere. No thanks.

You're at the poor people beaches where you belong. Stay out of Seaside, Watercolor, Rosemary, 90% of the Caribbean, most of California, etc.

St. George Island, FL. Look that place up, nothing commercial and no condos at all. A few beach bars, restaurants and a local grocery. Used to go as a kid in summer and just general weekend getaways. If it wasn't so far would be my normal destination. It's downright painful to do the whole orange beach or gulf sores thing now, but is what it is.

So you don't like cruises, DW, or the beach. I bet you're a shitload of fun to hang around.

I guess congrats on being poor and being a shitty father and having kids that hate you.

It's called cruising. But it's not so bad if you travel when kids are in school, stay on your own balcony, and use the ship solely for transportation to various international dive sites.

Florida beaches are fine for quick cheap jaunts. However, when I "vacation", you'll find me at luxury all-inclusives in Mexico/Central America or on the French Riviera.

I'm not really a fan. I like being on the water, but just chilling on a beach has absolutely no appeal to me.

Several years ago I met a guy from Ohio there that was very impressed with it. He said he was going to tell all of his friends about. I tried to talk him out of it, but he apparently he told them, b/c everyone and his brother goes there now.

You need to go to OB before memorial day for it to be clean.
