I usually go on one beach vacation per year, but it's typically a 4 day weekend or something. I couldn't see myself sitting on a beach for 7 days straight.
I agree with the OP, frick Disney and cruises.

It makes them feel like they're classy. They save and budget all year for their time share cruise or vacation bullshite and get a semi decent vacation experience. And cruise buffets probably seem like a tux affair for the 40 year old trailer park baw

Thought about starting a thread a few days ago but I guess it fits here. Thinking about going on a 5 day cruise. Never been on one and want just to relax with GF. Anyone have thoughts on if cruises are worth it. Is the food good or golden corralish? Are the rooms horrible? Smell of feces all over ship?

Beaches are pretty boring anyway. Unless im fishing and/or sailing , I have no interest in the beach. I honestly would rather go to New Orleans/Austin/NYC etc and spend money on nice meals and entertainment

I've been on two 'trashy' carnival cruises and spent the whole time getting tore down laying out on the deck getting sun and not giving a single frick about the people around me.
I actually have some pretty good SS stories that are still told around campfires people believe they are just urban legends about me on a cruise fwiw.
Almost got helicoptered off the boat by coast guard and did manage to get some other groups kid choppered off the boat. I got wheel chaired inhebriared through the breakfast dining room on the first morning of the cruise and was on the 24hr 'cruise news' dancing all crazy and then they would cut to me being wheelchaired. This clip played the entire cruise. Passed out on Xanax on some Mayan ruin pyramids and got left and they had to turn the bus around to find me.... several other stories.

I'm considering cruise vs. all inclusive resort, like in Cozumel. One of the nice ones. I'm not real big on just beach scene. I guess I just wanna show up, relax, drink and be fed, and not plan a schedule but still if I feel like doing something, be able to do it. I hate games and karoeke shite and stuff like that. I don't wanna really socialize with people either.
