Hmm I must be trashy because I like to take Disney Cruises to Eastern Carribean beaches. I fly to San Juan to take my next one. Of course it costs over 4k just for the cruise.

Or maybe I just love my son?

We have been going to Ft. Morgan alot lately. We rent the same house every time. Its super quiet and chill there but close enough to fun things for the kids. Took my Dad last year and hes looking at buying a place there because he was so impressed by it. If we could afford it we would too.

Guess it's trashy that my son has visited 9 countries before he turns 6. While most of LP has not left the state.

I think half of the OT believes every cruise = $300 Carnival cruise that they went on for their honeymoons in between a 14/7.

Not like he's going to remember those. Those are better trips to take when he's a teenager. Unless you had him late and you're about to kick the bucket.

The reason the OT thinks cruises are trashy is because you can only do Carnival out of NOLA.

And you think I'm just going to stop taking him places? When he is a teeanger I will be taking him on longer flights and going to Europe with him. There are some extremely weathly people on Disney Cruises aso well. Just a balcony cabin over the summer will run a family of 3 7-8k. A suite will run you 10k. It isn't a motel 6.

It's always been this way. The wealthy have private places they go to get away from the trash. Middle, upper middle class people who can't afford elite enclaves are just too lacking in self awareness to know they too are the trash.

True. You can pay 60k for a cruise if you'd like. People generally have limited awareness

I enjoy cruises, the beach and Disney World.

I don't care what people on the internet think, I go to places I enjoy. I also go on nerd trips. Like Dayton to spend two days at the Air Force museum or DC just for the Smithsonian.

Was true before Truman show. In my opinion it is no longer the case. Incredibly crowded with lots of snobs. Maybe I am missing the distinction between snobs, trash and class.

Beaches are pretty boring anyway. Unless im fishing and/or sailing , I have no interest in the beach. I honestly would rather go to New Orleans/Austin/NYC etc and spend money on nice meals and entertainment

You must not have kids if you would rather go to those places and spend 50.00 a head on a meal for them.

FWIW I find beaches boring as well. A trip to Destin or Clearwater is one of most boring vacations for my family. I like islands to go diving or snorkling. There isn't a decent reef outside of Key West in the US mainland. St John and BVI are perfect for me.
