What do you think will stop this so we can go back to living without a vaccine in the near future.
I'm living fine currently without a vaccine. The only real impediment at this point is a nanny state that's being even more intrusive than usual.
I don't need or want a vaccine.

Do you have $200 you don’t mind forfeiting to find out?

Yeah, that shite went out the window when Karen started yelling at me for not wearing a mask while I walk my dog.

he asked for a law. passed by the state house, senate, signed by the governor
not a decree from on high from a power-drunk governor

Who voted on them? These governors and mayors are not dictators. They cannot say “so I say, so it shall be.”
This isn’t a fiefdom.
Hell, a judge in Shreveport struck down an executive order from the wannabe tyrant over there for that very reason. Furthermore, police depts. have basically said they’re going to focus on more important shite than messing with people over a fricking mask.

Because they are ignorant assholes.

For the same reason you dumb@$$ won't wear one in public.
Because it's America.
Some could walk down the street with a Level I Biohazard street if they wanted.
If you want to wear a mask. Great. If you don't won't to wear a mask. Great. Don't give people crap over their choice to exercise their personal freedoms. Both sides are hypocritical.

The ones wearing it driving down the road alone get me. WTF?

If you have to pay it, does it really matter?
These orders are derived from “emergency powers” granted to state and local executives by their state legislatures.

I’m all about wearing masks inside places when you can’t keep distance from others and outside also when you can’t keep distance.
But even I think it is silly to wear one alone outside walking and not around others. I could see keeping one with you in case you need it (stopping to go inside a store on your walk, etc).

They are just frail douchebags. That is the only upside to this “pandemic”. Now they self identify.

Uh, yes it does.

I’m not arguing they aren’t unconstitutional, but a right without a remedy is a shibboleth. If the constitution won’t protect you from an unconstitutional law, if the legislature and the courts won’t strike down an unconstitutional decree by an executive, then your rights are just an illusion. Social distancing has made clear what many have known for decades. We live in an authoritarian police state and have for a long time. Our alleged freedoms are a mirage, and there’s no way to vote our way out of this.

I live right off a very busy/popular street with a lot of shops, restaurants, and bars and I’ve noticed most people are wearing them outside now. A couple weeks ago, you’d see a few people wearing them outside but now I’m in the minority for only wearing one when I go inside a building.
