Because they are not being rational. I'm making an internal list of everyone I know that's legitimately scared at this point - the irrational point.

No, not even remotely ironic seeing as how it's two entirely different sides of the subject at hand.
One side wants masks to feel safe, the other side questions a policy based on feelings instead of reason.
