What does this accomplish?
Honestly, I agree. But the progressive politics that have ushered all these bible-beating baptists into the mayors' offices - don't be shocked. This is just the kind of bullshite they can flip and become "God's messengers" over.

In PA, liquor has to be bought at a certain stores owned by the state. Beer and wine can be bought at some grocery and convenience stores. It’s fricking retarded and frustrating.

PA shut down all liquor stores

Yes. The only places that can sell liquor that’s not bar/restaurant.
ETA: and they closed all bars and restaurants for dine in. So idk where you plan on getting liquor in PA.

You can use bleach and water, I’m not linking the Alton Brown segment but it was in an outdoor cooking episode

Orlando and St. Augustine Florida. Pennsylvania closed all state run liquor stores.
Multiple states and municipalities have discussed it and emphasized their power to do so, if they choose. Including New Orleans.

Pennsylvania just did it, apparently you can only buy at state owned stores.
So which is it? Did they ban alcohol or can you still get at state stores?

Because this is deeper than we all think, this has nothing to do with a virus.

For Philly people, they'll cross the river into Jersey where I'm at to get their liquor. Which is why I went to the liquor store today to get a few things before the shelves get depleted or Jersey follows PA's lead. Figured I'd need some bourbon/whiskey while I'm on house arrest, quarantined or socially distant. Whatever they want to call it.

Alabama just said we can buy booze Togo from our restaurants!

Pennsylvania did. Shut down all the liquor stores today.

frick em.
Your IQ is as low as Maddux's ERA.
To answer the OP: no one is banning the sale of alcohol, all that's been done is the closing of bars to prevent large gatherings of people. You can still buy alcohol.
