the men just hang out and drink beer while the women do the festivities. Doesn't seem like a bad deal to me
that's how it starts but then at the end of it your sister in law starts being a bitch to all the dudes because they aren't cleaning up the mess that the women made and everybody gets mad because you're drunk and tell her to shut her count mouth.

I don't like showers either. I'd rather just send a gift, which is what I do most of the time. The only exceptions would be if I was the motb or it was one of my close friend's daughters. I would never drag my husband to one; if he wanted to go, that would be up to him. I have never been to a gender reveal; don't plan to start.

The only time I've "attended" a baby/wedding shower was to set up tables and help pick up the gifts my wife got. There were no men at either.

New generation of men are pussies now. You watch tik tok and your wives force you to attend showers.

Because an alarming percentage of modern men are soft.

FORCED? WE got invited to this bullshite, I did not attend. Baby showers and wedding showers are for women and gay dudes. Another gift from the millennial generation.
Here's a little advice to all the millennials and Gen Z dudes on here. You know you don't want to go, or be at one of these things. So, when the time finally comes put your foot down with your significant other and explain to her that no man wants to go to this. Then ask her if she wants someone at her event, that does not want to be there.

I will absolutely have something important to do to not go to that kind of shite

Like hell they aren;t. You want the old lady pissed at you over it when she tells you so and so's husband is going, what's your problem? ? Cause she will be.

I have NEVER, EVER attended a baby shower, bridal shower, gender reveal, and I can honestly say I've probably only been to 20 or so kids birthday parties------and that was for ones in the family and the last one I can remember going to was at least a decade ago.
I see absolutely no reason for a grown man to attend any of the first three in the above sentence.
I'm not only old, I'm old school to boot and guys of my generation avoided such things like the plague.

Men and forced don’t belong in the same sentence. Thats why.

I got tricked once.
ONCE.
"Oh it's not a regular baby shower, it's a big party with the men hanging out on the porch drinking and grilling"
FALSE.
It was me, the dad (who we thought was the dad at the time), and the father of the impregnated, who was ultra-baptist and did not allow alcohol in his house (he was the host). Also there was no grilling. It was absolutely fricking miserable.
I got tricked into a gender reveal also, but it actually was a bunch of dudes drinking and grilling on the porch with a bunch of our kids all running around their horse pasture and playing frisbee with the GSP and chocolate lab, that wasn't so bad. I'd go to another one of those in that style.

I've never been to any of those and never will. Don't be a pussy.

How bout the friend who is getting married , sets the date for the Alabama game/Breeders cup. Plus asks you to be a groom. I never want to go through that pain again.

Say you have explosive diarrhea and stay home to watch the game. It works for me every time.

You know you can say no? It's a pretty powerful word.

exactly just the other day:
Hey my chick friend is throwing herself a birthday party (pathetic) is that something you would be interested in attending?
uhh no.
why not?
Because i don't like your friend at all and she is kind of a whore. I will be more than happy to stay home with the kids while you attend.
discussion over.

not me, not ever. I had to attend a gender reveal party because it was at my house and it was my kid. Other than that, i will not be attending that dumb shite ever.

Some of y'all need to work on your assertive voice.
Or find women you're not scared to say no to.

I've been asked to go to a handful of showers but refused every damn one. No way in hell will I partake in this pussification of men. I'd rather sit at home with my beer, guns and toxic masculinity.
