I give exactly zero dollars to the Catholic Church. I’d rather donate to organizations that I know make a difference.

I’m catholic but I do no actively practice due to the nature of the religion.

Because we’d rather spend money on alcohol.

Because we don't want to give money that will be used to settle lawsuits in priest molesting kids cases.

This. Because conservative Catholics realize that most people asking for "charity" are scamming everyone.

Seems counterintuitive that the most charitable counties are more Republican while the Liberal counties (up north primarily) are stingy with their money.

looks like all the rich liberal shite hole cities are far worse then a few majority poor areas in the south

I fail to see how this map correlates to religion. It is pretty clear that liberal areas are not charitable at all.
