These are the people who gave us MAGA... probably a function of knowing their time and money are short and they won't make the impact on the world

Half of them vote Democrat pretty consistently. They gave us Obama and Clinton too if you want to break it down by statistics.

To be fair, it's not just conservative boomers who post depressing stuff. A lot of younger liberal people do too. Im also starting to see a lot of younger men post depressing Red Pill stuff constantly and that can be annoying.

I don't get this obsession with complaining about boomers for everything. I'm a millennial FTR. The stuff you described OP is attributable to every generation that engages in use of the internet, in this country at the very least, in this day and age. And it has been ongoing since the advent of mass media. This just comes across as a cheap shot at baby boomers without any basis in fact or intellectual merit.

You lament the negativity of the internet, and then have the temerity to post something like this. You are contributing to the problem by posting nonsense like this.

I am doing me. You’re an auto down vote and I avoid all of your topics. Doesn’t mean I can’t discuss how depressing your post history is. I have zero obsession with you nor I care anything to know about you personally. Your Post history sucks. That’s it. Bottom line. It’s depressing, click bait, attention, grabbing bullshite articles for attention. By the authors and creators of the content and the people that share it.

This was in one of my topics. How did that happen if you avoid my topics?

I repeat and add newspaper and daily news cast back when I was a kid and being raised by the greatest generation.

Even though all of my grandparents were dead by the time I was 10 I remember them being the same way.

Being born and growing up during the Korean and Viet Nam wars can do that to you. I remember watching Viet Nam on the nightly news as a kid, depressing to say the least and worse seeing the troops come home to be spit on and called baby killers.

Facebook has turned my dad into a shell of his former self. All he does all day is scroll and go down the deepest rabbit holes and government conspiracies you can imagine. It’s all he wants to talk about now and he’s constantly sending me stuff to look at. It’s actually really sad. If McDonalds messed his order up he’d somehow blame the shadow government for it.

4 decades of cable news.

Good stories do not sell advertising and you have 24 hrs. to fill.

If you are old enough ALL have been conditioned to one degree or another.

Leftists are more susceptible to it because that same cable news is their ally and they invest more in it.

Boomers are more susceptible to it because they've been exposed the longest and experienced the "sudden change" from nightly news to 24/7.

therefore, leftist Boomers are fricked. They are conditioned to be told what to think

Yeah, and who chose to watch that? In our house my dad controlled the tv during news casts. My dad, the WWII vet. The Greatest Generation.

And guess what my Grandpa talked about? FYI a Marine vet. of the Spanish-American War.
