Lots of major universities plan for freshman failure/weed out.
I bet they'll be doing this less and less. Federal grant money is drying out and kids are beginning to realize that college is too expensive and has a poor ROI for most majors.

Both of my sons moved into the dorms last weekend. It was a fun experience doing that with them. They are enjoying school so far.

I started LSU in January, a couple months after turning 17. Stood in line to register for classes. Ate a broccoli and yellow-cheese-product potato at the Union for lunch. Piled in a friend’s car and went to The Bayou and Chimes that afternoon.
Truly the good ole days.

Look, I have black fatigue like everyone else, but are these kids any worse than the students when you were in college?
That's just the trend today. Who cares? As long as its not ghetto king and queens.

At welcome week, my #3 made it to the t-shirt table - grabbed a bunch and handed them to some girls that couldnt get to the table
Pretty suave for a homeschool kid
He also got a free latte yesterday because he helped the CC’s employee clean up a mess someone made
I’ll probably be a grandma soon

We didn’t choose to lower the standards for admission. Whoever did make that choice is responsible for people thinking that LSU is becoming a very expensive version of the average free high school in Louisiana.

Interesting freshman class!
In 2095 LSU is going to be listed as a HBCU.
