Agreed.

I was being sarcastic.

Honestly, this guy, of all people, should've known this.

What about people who move to neighborhoods off the LSU campus then try to prevent you from parking on a public street for a football game?

Bitchin' about dried bubbles on his car? lol

Certain soaps can damage your clear coat. It takes a lot of time and effort to keep your cars clean, not that you’d know. It would annoy the shite out of me if my truck was freshly washed and waxed and some queers were blowing bubbles all over it.

Washing your car: important maintenance

Blowing bubbles all over a neighborhood: gay and annoying

The bar has been using this little bubble machine for at least five years. It’s not a big machine or a lot of bubbles. If the guy can afford a FQ place and a Porche; he needs to buy a reserved parking spot in a garage and not be parking on the street.

On the news video the guy makes a pretty good point about the contents of the bubbles. We see them and think “cool, bubbles” but don’t think about the substances that could be in them. Some old machine sitting outside on the balcony blowing away, could be some gross stuff growing in there.

He's claiming that it's causing damage to his car, but his car is not on his property, if you look at the street view of the address there is no private parking. It's public street parking.

What difference does it make? Its still something that the bar owner is releasing into the air that is landing on his neighbor's legally parked vehicle and causing damage.

If I took a can of spray paint and emptied it into the air and the overspray landed on someone's car parked on the street, am I not responsible for that damage?

The homeowner also said the bubbles are causing damage to the paint on his house.

Don't discharge something from your property that lands on someone else's property. That's what got Big Lee killed

Might be one of those things to consider before moving to the quarter and being forced to park on public streets while being home to some of the most debaucherous behavior in the US.

Wait until Mardi Gras if he thinks this is bad .

C'mon man, it's the French Quarter. What do you expect living in that place? Peace and quiet?

And this is why NO is the Third World joke of a city it is. Every deficiency, malfeasance, corruption, etc is just excused away. "It's the FQ/NO/Big Easy. What are you going to do?"

The homeowner ought to take a baseball bat; walk across the street and smash the bubble machine into flinders.

I mean, can't he just turn on a big home depot fan when they start the bubbles?

"Hey man, we're gonna turn on the bubbles for 3 hours."
:No problem, I'll turn the fan on."
"Cool"

Sure, that will stop the heavy drinking, puking, etc in the quarter that will do far worse to his car than a bar owner having a bubble machine. Sounds like this has been well thought out.

No shite. And I'll take soapy bubbles over piss and puke all day.

Hell, chip in and get fresh scented bubbles. Win win for everyone.

Just make a deal with the bar owner. 3 free drinks a week. But make sure they make the drinks in front of you.

Not sure if it was mentioned yet but regardless how long something was a thing or no one else haf an issue is sort of irrelevant. Bubbles or whatever in your house, your bar, your garage, is all your right as a property owner. When it’s leaves what you own, it’s a public issue and can be considered a nuisance no matter how minor it seems. Also I’m sure you can prove where prolonged residue on cars, paint, etc will cause damage. Esp if it’s an all day everyday thing. I’m not defending either and care less. But I can see the new owners point.
