Probably my dad actually. He was a PhD geophysicist.

ETA: There's different kinds of "smart". Business smart, street smart, academia smart, etc

I used to work with a guy whose highest level of education was a high school diploma. He supervised degreed electrical engineers. He had zero people skills but could run circles around everybody in the group when it came down to engineering theory.

Guy I went to high school with. He was a couple years ahead of me and I graduated with his younger brother.
He was Valedictorian of his high school class, went to Tulane for Chemical Engineering and was Valedictorian of that class, then went to law school as well. Think he went on to be a big time lawyer for oil companies. He was also a total dickhead.

The guy who was Salutatorian under him in high school also went on to be Valedictorian of his dental school class.

My wife, degrees in microbiology and chem eng. In terms of Math/Science subjects she picks up concepts naturally. In terms of driving directions, she's a functional retard

Had a classmate in the Naval Nuclear Power Training School who went on to earn E-8 in less than 10 years of service. Any technical problem on the ship was often referred to him. His CO introduced him to an Admiral by once proclaiming, "This is the smartest man in our squadron"

He is the chief engineer of a nuke plant outside Phoenix earning OT baller money

Knew a guy in college that was a microbiology major. Took 18 hours every semester, hardly ever studied, partied his balls off including tons of drugs, and had a 4.0. Last I heard he was in medical school at Johns Hopkins intending to become a brain surgeon.

He had brain knowledge, tons of common sense, and incredible people skills. One of the most interesting fellas I've ever met.

Rex Tillerson, CEO of JC Penny, CEO of my firm, and couple CEOs of some oil companies were all pretty smart and well spoken people.

I also went to high school with a guy that got an economics degree from Harvard and girl that went to Vandy and Tulane Med School

My father in law has a BS and masters in chemical engineering and a PhD in chemistry, but he drops a couple points for letting a jackass like myself marry his daughter.

My brother in law on the other hand finished MIT in 3 years in some type of mathematics and is currently at Stanford for his masters, so I think he takes the cake. His goal is to win a Fields Medal, and I have no doubt he will in the near future.
