Damn right. Dogs are only allowed on Walton County beaches under very strict conditions:
1. Only allowed for RESIDENTS/PROPERTY OWNERS of the county (not visitors)
2. Have to first be registered/permitted.
3. Can only do it at certain hours-- very early and very late in the day (spring and summer, it's from 4 p.m. to 8 a.m. and in fall and winter, it's from 3 p.m. to 9 a.m.)
4. Must still be on a leash.
Even better, Okaloosa and Santa Rosa Counties don't allow dogs on the beach AT ALL. More power to them.
