Never lived up North, but I don't see how it could be any more miserable than it is right now.

It's definitely more miserable than this in Wisconsin. Imagine the cold making your joints hurt and causing your fingers to go numb. In about 5 minutes.

Imagine slipping on snow everywhere & having to worry about getting frostbite from a puddle. Imagine getting off work at 5pm & driving through ice & snow when it's already been dark an hour.

I couldn't handle Dubai heat or anything but our heat ain't shite compared to the misery of a Midwestern winter

The difference between dealing with extreme hot and extreme cold is the time you have to spend dealing with snow and ice every day of the winter. Shoveling walkways, heating your car engine, scraping windshields, putting snow chains on, etc. I have lived in both conditions. I would rather have heat than snow and ice.

All this.

Well, at least we have air conditioning to manage the heat & humidity in the South. It is not as prevalent in the north…

No worries. When we get permanent DST, we can stay hot a bit longer instead of a sunset at 6:00PM to cool things down.

I am on blood pressure and other meds that make me sweat and vulnerable to over-heating. This hot weather is asshoe
