There's actually a fair amount of crazy wealth in Ascension Parish, but they don't show it off so you'd never know it. An old man who lives in a modest, dated 1400 sf house is a muliti muliti millionaire.
There's a family back on Laurel Ridge that owns their own 9 hole golf course.
There's another home with it's own private air field.
There's a plantation on river road, which was built by the richest man in the world back during the 1840's, which is owned as a private residence.
There's also a ton of old Donaldsonville money.
