As a family they are probably up there. There is a lot of big money on the northshore that are not well known.

Yup, a lot of people have money tied up in land (timber, O&G, etc) and development. There are also people who invented very common things and people who took small businesses to humongous companies. I'm not gonna name any names, but there are a few families worth more than $500MM. I can think of 3 easily

It is Crosby or Blossman for sure. The coolest house in St Tammany goes to George Dunbar and his property on Bayou Bonfuca in Slidell. He is an awesome artist and good friend of my family.
Plus, he is a bad arse and his two sons are great friends of mine. He is like 90 years old and still such a great guy.

The Martin Family are the largest land owners in La. However the Crosbys own tons of land in Miss and La.
