Summer of 76. Glen Oaks. Lots of fake enthusiasm, it was so so. We were told Paul Hardy , Secretary of State , would address us and i misheard it as Paul Harvey, the famous radio commentator and the look of disappointment on my face as Hardy approached the podium was probably priceless.

Summer 98 Jackson Parish Senator checking in. Had a blast and almost got our entire parish sent home early because of a prank gone bad lol.
We had a guy that was really in shape. I’m serious, 22 years later I can still see his abs and pecs. He did crunches and push ups for an hour every night before bed. He was a nice guy that pulled some small prank on someone and we thought he could take a joke. About 10 of us snuck into his room after he fell asleep and on the count of 3, we all started yelling and screaming at the top of our lungs.
He went ape shite.
He jumped up and started beating peoples arse. He was screaming at the top of his lungs while he did it, like he was having a war flashback or something. He sent 2 guys to the hospital.
As it turns out, we found out the next day, he was an abuse survivor. He was having a PTSD flashback.

I graduated in 99. It may have been the summer of 97. Now that I think about it, it was the summer between 10th and 11th grade wasn’t it? That would have been 97. Meh. I don’t remember.

I am sure he was a football player in high school. If he didn’t play college ball, I would be surprised. He was a very big guy and was absolutely ripped.
I want to say he was from the Lafayette area. That is just a vague memory and may be incorrect.

I remember that happening. I was in the room. The guy lost it. It was called a rack attack. They'd done it to me and I joined in the fun. Three rooms later this guy pops up as soon as we screamed and absolutely smoked the guy at the end of the bed. I ran like the bitch I am.
