My FIL had one knee done twice and the other once. His Dr told him he didnt have to go to rehab if he met all the milestones and did it on his own, Ole Country Boy Dr. Anyway, my father in law would swing everyday and stretch his knee out, go in for his routine checkups and he would meet all his benchmarks, he contributed it all to just swinging.

The ACL in our knee is mostly there for lateral movement stability
Negative, the ACL prevents the tibia from translating anterior to the femur, the collateral ligaments provide for medial / lateral support

Had my left knee replaced at age 61 in 2011 — right at 10 years ago. The surgery then was light years ahead of what my mom had done in the mid 90s and today it is much, much better than back in 2011. Higher tech, less invasive, better rehab.
That said, it was a painful bitch of a surgery. Post-op pain was horrendous at first and they made you walk the next day. Very painful at first so don’t be afraid to take the meds. But it all was much better with time and focus at rehab.
A note, a couple of months later I developed significant left hip pain and was afraid I needed hip replacement. But all it was the surgery had straightened out my leg and my gait was returning to normal thus making the hip realign itself. A lot of ibuprofen, walking and patience cured the hip alignment.
Another thing to watch out for is swelling from standing a long time. The small muscle just above the kneecap has to rebuild and takes a lot of extension exercise.
Bad thing about having the surgery young is that a second one may be needed later in life. The doc gave me a 15-year “warranty” so to speak.
This all sounds a bit negative but it is not. I would do it all again. It is worth it. I had torn my ACL four times and it was not to be found when they did the TKR surgery. Had had a lot of daily pain upon any exertion and little stability. Took a lot of prescription pain meds regularly (kind of miss that). She will appreciate it in long run.

So.... it appears the wife died after surgery, I am assuming a PE?
Sorry for your loss, get your shot together for the sake of the kids

I think he needs a lawyer PE shouldn't happen these days but what I am reading he has other demons I would start with a pain pill count. She was discharged and he went to get her medications and she passed away while he was out getting her pills

I'm trying not to be skeptical about some of this, but has anyone ran across an obituary? I did do a casual look and haven't seen one.

The aunt of the dead wife has posted and said one funeral arrangements are known, she would post any obit. She gave her name and a link to her Facebook. A review of her Facebook appears to match up.
CD doesn’t appear to be in a coherent state based on the last couple of posts. He doesn’t seem to read or understand any response to what he posts, which is concerning on a couple of different levels.

I believe that per the Aunt, the autopsy isn't completed and not much can be done until it is.
Kentucky Girl, the Aunt, said that she'd post it.
I've messaged with her and she seems legit ... AND she's straight up MAGA.
