Called once in 2004. I was headed East on Perkins at about 2:30am, and stopped at the College Drive intersection. There were some construction workers repairing and striping College Drive on the North side of the intersection.
I was waiting on the light, then hear a loud bump, then scream, then wheels squealing...
The turn lane (onto Perkins) was "closed" for the repair, but someone headed southbound didn't see it (I guess). They hit one of the workers, threw him over his car, then continued through the intersection, turning East bound onto Perkins. I called 911, and the dispatcher mentioned that some of the workers that witnessed the incident called as well. I just hung up.
I didn't follow the car b/c by the time I realized what was going on the car had nearly disappeared into the night and I figured I wouldn't be able to catch up. To this day I still regret not trying to follow the car...

A relative had a medical emergency. They were there within 7 minutes.
You know how on TV everything is chaotic? It's not like that IRL. They were very calm and deliberate.

Had a youth ball player of mine jump for extra yardage, got his legs taken out and dropped the football. He landed on top of the football with that arm tucked to his chest.
Problem was, the ball was laying right where the middle of his forearm was coming down, and all of his 150+ lb weight landed on that arm. Cracked both bones in his lower left arm in half. Had what looked like a T-Rex limb from the elbow down.
Kid never cried. I'd have either passed out or cried like a baby.
His arm is fine now, multiple pins and rods, casted up. This was in November of last year, so he likely will not make it back for any sports fully cleared until this time next year it seems.

I did, just looking around on my android and suddenly
it showed 911
I was trying to disconnect it but didn't know my way around that well
so the voice comes on pretty fast and asks what's the emergency
I said sorry, it was an accident, stupid phone, she said accident, I said yes, she said ok and disconnected
I still don't know WTF I did to pull that off...

I saved a jetskiers life about 10 years ago. Kid ran his jetski right into the parasail boat. I was working on the beach going over the rules with some people when I heard it happen. I jumped on a ski and zoomed out there, (pulled a total Baywatch move, as I dove in the water off the ski),about a 15 yr old Indian kid, face down in the water, when I flipped him over he had blood coming out of every hole in his head. I grabbed his life jacket and hauled his arse into the beach. Life flight choppered into the beach about 20 minutes later.
Left the next day to go back to school. Found out a week later, he survived.

Dad was suffering from cancer and cirrhosis of the liver. Towards the end he was in and out of ICU every 3 weeks.Had to dial up 911 several times in that time period.

Set a 3 acre lot across the street from my house on fire by accident when I was 13. Had to call 911 and get the fire dept over asap.
They showed up in a Station Wagon, guy gets out, sees the field ablaze, and says "Damn! We're gonna need a truck!"
NO SHITE SHERLOCK!!

Once I was driving on I-10 over the Atchafalaya Basin going West and there was a truck that kept crossing both lines (between lanes and off the side), I passed him on the left and noticed that he wasn't in my rear view after I had driven a little farther. A few moments later (mile marker 121.5) I see the truck driving perpendicular to the interstate and jump the on ramp (again perpendicular), then drive into the woods.
I called 911 and described the incident and told them the mile marker where it occurred. I didn't stop and I have no idea how long it took them to arrive.

Oh yeah, forgot about that. One of my old cellphones back in the early 2000's liked to call 911. I remember hearing the operator's voice coming from my pocket.

About 10 times to report drunk drivers.

most grotesque injury I witnessed was while I was in the Navy.
I was an FSA (Navy term for Kitchen duty) and a fellow FSA sliced his hand in half. We are talking from the webbing between his pointer&middle fingers down to his wrist bone. I'll never forget the way his hand hung after being sliced
Corpsman wrapped up his hand as we called for a Med-evac. Chopper arrived in an hour where he was transported to a hospital. Guy spent the next 12 months recovering from various reconstruction surgeries.
He was opening a #10 can of ketchup and sliced it with the top

A car slammed brakes right in front of my house. I looked out the window thinking a car had wrecked in the ditch. A guy jumped out of the car ran to the passenger side and starting punching this chick in the face. She jumped in the drivers seat and hauled arse, running over his foot and leaving him on side of the road. I laughed at the karma for him.

The patient is doing well and actually was thankful that she had her first seizure in my office rather than at home alone with her young son.
Well ya who wouldn't be thankful they were at a doctors office while having an unexpected medical emergency, besides the hospital there is no better place.
So, a dentist is a real doctor now. Well, at least I got that going for me.
