this is the same government who is now saying 'list? what list?' while ghisaline maxwell is in prison for a 20 year sex trafficking conviction

same government who arrested you if you left your house for an entire year and forced you to wear paper masks and threatened to gulag you if you didn't take an experimental jab.

I do have one question. Given there's no fire in space, how did they turn around and come back?

Bro this place barely believes in the moon, much less the moon landing

Everything is a conspiracy when you don’t know how shite works

There is a low lunar orbit satellite that took pictures of the tracks and stuff left behind. Since there is no wind on the moon, it's still there undisturbed.

Did the moon landing actually happen?

Yes.

quote:

Who took the video of landing?

The only visual record of the landing process came from the 16mm Data Acquisition Camera (DAC) which was mounted inside the Lunar Module’s cockpit.

quote:

Who took the video of them leaving?

No one. The video was captured by a remotely operated camera mounted on the Lunar Module itself, called the Modularized Equipment Stowage Assembly (MESA). It was deployed during the moonwalk and activated from inside the Lunar Module using a switch as they prepared to take off.

How did we lose the tech to go outer space?

We didn't, it's just insanely expensive. The big drive was to beat the Soviets there (read: bragging rights) and we did. After that, since there were no gold, diamonds or cheese there, interest quickly waned as costs increased.

What about the radiation from the van Allen belt?

You mean the Van Allen BeltS? There are two, an outer and an inner and they are not uniform in their intensity (meaning there are stronger and weaker areas of each). NASA plotted a translunar injection (TLI) path that passed through the outer edges of the belts, reducing exposure time.

NASA also monitored solar weather to avoid high-risk periods. They would launch during a period of relatively low solar activity, reducing the risk of solar flares or coronal mass ejections, which could increase radiation levels in the belts.

All of that plus heat shielding and hull did not make the craft impervious, but they all combined to be sufficient enough to reduce the radiation dose to levels deemed acceptable for the mission’s duration.

For context, their estimated exposure was ~1.8–6.6 millisieverts, a chest CT exam we can get today is ~7 millisieverts.

Why haven't we left lower earth orbit?

Again: Expensive as frick for no real gain.

Yes.

quote:

Who took the video of landing?

Video camera mounted on lunar lander. Transmitted televisions back to Earth. Signals received at Goldstone in California and Parkes and Honeysuckle Creek in Australia.

quote:

Who took the video of them leaving?

Camera mounted on the lunar lander and/or camera mounted on lunar rover remote controlled by mission control. See above for signal transmission.

quote:

hat about the radiation from the van Allen belt?

It took something like 15 minutes for the astronauts to pass through the radiation belt and took an x-ray's dose of radiation

quote:

How did we lose the tech to go outer space?

Government funding cut. Not need for contractors to maintain infrastructure for a non-existent program. It's not that we didn't know how to go back; we just couldn't get the funding to build a new program from the ground up.
