I'd have to move somewhere like Tampa where I'm in the city but am super close to beaches, fishing, etc.

If you want to stay in the water for more than 30 seconds without wearing a full wet suit, the Gulf is much better.

What can I say, I like mountains and forests. The coast of Oregon beats the frick out of the weird white sand, condo monstrosity that makes up the Gulf.

While I love the oregon/washington stuff as well, this thread is about beaches. Not rocky shorelines

And I would take that over my hometown of New Orleans any day. My town is great, shite ton of concerts, lots of good outdoor shows that I can listen to from my front porch. Walk to the beach jump in the water after work

I don't need no stinking white sand - though I will (obviously) give the Gulf huge props for having far superior fishing. I just don't think it's half as pretty.

Legit, yes.

I watched lsu win the cws in 1997 drinking a beer from the tits of a goddess on coronado beach.

But still not better than florida. Water made my nuts shrink

I can barely last a week at the beach.
It gets old quick.

if by "beach town" you mean touristy overcommercialized areas such as Myrtle Beach, I'd say NO

But a quiet beach town in NC, FL, CA, or VA...absolutely but only if I have a boat.

Grew up there and beach traffic could ruin your life.
