My town is great, shite ton of concerts, lots of good outdoor shows that I can listen to from my front porch. Walk to the beach jump in the water after work

am i alive right now?

the music/festival scene in nola clearly trumps the jersey one

you also deal with shitty , cold weather for at least 6 months out of the year

copers gonna cope - classic case

I can't tell if you're an alter or a new person that I like.

We have a home there. What did you do for work? I'm trying to move to the beach house permanently but work keeps me from doing so and retirement is too far away.

Yeah give me a condo at Turquoise Place and I think I could manage.

I just can't imagine not getting sick of actually LIVING (meaning that's the ONE place I have to go home to) somewhere like this for an extended period of time.

After a while you would just have enough of the unending transient trash (and I'm not even saying that disparagingly, knowing I'm one of them at least once a year) in the area.

I know people who live at the beach who haven't been to the beach in years.
That's the problem with living where you like to vacation.
It becomes mundane after a short while.

don't need no stinking white sand - though I will (obviously) give the Gulf huge props for having far superior fishing. I just don't think it's half as pretty.

I love it all honestly. Put me anywhere scenic and I will be happy.

I find any nature scenic, beach, mountains, swamp. To each their own on where to reside.

f you go south, the seasons are the opposite. If it weren't for family, I could absolutely move to St.John tomorrow.

I could, but I'd rather live in a lake town, preferably one in the mountains.

Been there. Done that. It's overrated.
See that is what I'm kind of thinking. Seems like the attraction to the beach is that it is a get away from your normal suburban life and that is what makes it fun. I think if you have too much of that it would get stale fast.

I think it would be depressing to see all of these people on vacation, while I have to go to work.

We are both a coastal and mountain town.
