I have two phones. I like to be able leave it and fully disconnect. Also they would have access to everything on my phone. frick that.
How would they have access to everything on your phone?

I’ve always had just one cell phone. Use it for business and personal. And it’s always been provided by my employer. Haven’t seen a bill since late 90s and have no idea what plans cost

I have a separate work number on my personal phone. We use the Ring Central app. Calls and texts come in through the app only during my working hours I set.
Pretty good set up.

I did it for a couple months, after company quit paying me $50/mo for using my personal phone. Hated having 2 phones in my pocket. Got to where I just left it at my office. Then company told me they would only pay for one data plan, so I sent it back and kept my iPad.

Two phones. If there is any sort of data spill/hack for company data, company has right to seize the phone. So the work phone is just for work.
Further, no one at work has my personal cell number beyond a few coworkers I consider friends outside of work

Same. I won’t use my personal for work, and that includes hooking up an app to get work mails on my phone. I’ll log into laptop to check emails.

You have to put all the internal security software on the phone.

I had the option of a company phone or an allowance. I chose the allowance and just use my teams #. I mute teams notifications when I'm not giving a frick.

Damn. Guess I’ve never had a company that went that deep.

For those that have a separate phone for work, what do you like and/or dislike about it?
I have a work and personal phone, and a work and personal laptop.
Pros
You have another phone if one dies
You can use the work phone for GPS or a call if you're busy shiteposting on TD with your personal
No one from work has my personal number so I can screen my calls, which really helps with telemarketers, as I have different area codes
Usually, one or the other has service in a bad spot
You can disconnect from work or personal life by leaving one or the other at home (I'm not on call or anything)
You can use one or the other as a hotspot when traveling
Cons
Carrying two phones

Just leave it at home when necessary. Not that hard

Two phones here. It’s awesome to be able to put my work phone away and not have to worry about work the rest of the evening/weekend.
New iPhones are not as big as they once were and I don’t have a case on it so it’s easy to carry around.

Did it once years ago and i will never choose to have one again. Worrying about 2 phones is a pain in the arse

I didn’t like carrying two phones on me so I’d transfer the work calls to my personal cell. That’s all got.
Same

I have two. Work is separate from personal. Using one phone for both allows your employer to monitor all activities on that phone. It’s foolish.

I’ve been carrying 2 phones for 16 years now. I’m a degenerate though so can’t always use my work phone.

Have the choice of a work cell or $100 a month reimbursement
Chose the reimbursement

I tried to add work stuff to my personal. First, I received so many notifications it killed my battery in 2 hours so I turned notifications off, which sort of defeated the purpose.
Then the company started making you install software that gave them the ability to remote wipe my personal phone, nah.
They gave me a work phone, and I carry 2. I like keeping work and personal separate. The added bonus is it's a different carrier so in the off chance one or the other doesn't have service I can still figure shite out.
