You need to find out if the company gives you a phone if you can use that for personal use or not. I personally won’t carry two phones, but I don’t talk on the phone much for personal reasons.

Using one phone for both allows your employer to monitor all activities on that phone. It’s foolish.
I’m surprised people keep saying this. I’ve used my personal phone for every job I’ve had and my company has never had access to all of my activities on my phone

My job give us a phone to use for work/personal.
We get a new phone every 2 years.
From day 1- basically said your phone do as you please.
Close to 20 years.
Newer employees choose to keep theirs separate

Two phone guy here. Work and personal phones separate. I don't bother with a case or screen protector on my work phone. I still have a really old iPhone XR that's running strong. Wife and I chat with Google chat so it's on both phones. Early do I have both phones in my pocket at the same time. Usually one out the other. The extra phone would be in my laptop bag or in my car. 90% of the time I just keep my personal phone. Unless I'm on a when trip.

In my home building days, I liked the 2nd phone when customers had direct access to me via that number & work email was only on that phone. I turned it off at 3:30 daily and weekends.

Decline both options. That's a stealth way of being able to call you after quitting time since they are technically paying for the line.

Keep telling yourself this and continue to be delusional.

I’m not a “newer” employee, but I know for a fact my company tracks all of the traffic on my company phone.

If your personal phone becomes also becomes your work phone can you still watch porn on it?

I carry two phones. One is mine, the other is company. I'm on call 24/7 and usually have both phones in the same pocket.
1) I don't want their encryption and "security" features on my phone.
2) I don't want my personal photos and accounts on their phone.

I use two numbers with one phone. When I retire in 5yrs I’m going to hit delete on the company line and they can do with it as they please. All my personal business is tied to a number I’ve been having since I was 18.

Ok… Can I ask you how my company has full access to my entire phone?

I used my personal in the past. My emails stopped working and our tech group couldn't figure it out and wanted to keep it to work on it. They are not keeping my personal phone so i turned around and ordered a business phone. Plus work phones are shitty iPhones.

I'm an Android guy and my work requires a separate iPhone which they pay for. Now I have both, it is pretty frustrating. They look similar but work very differently. My last job just gave a stipend for my personal phone bill, I prefer that greatly.
Same. Pixel Pro is best phone I've ever had. I have one of the new iPhones for work that I have to care for milage tracking and apps I have to use for work. I hate it.

Many phones have 2 line capabilities. You knew that right?

Personal phone in left front pants pocket, work phone in right front pants pocket. Hate both of them. It’s a monthly bill that did not exist at one time. Hoping AI destroys it eventually but in reality AI Will destroy me eventually.

This. Anybody that needs to get in touch with me has my personal number. Work phone stays on my nightstand turned off. I don’t even know the damn number much less anybody else. It’s strictly used to check email if I’ve been off awhile.

Yeah I know that. Do you think I have the power to change the policy of a worldwide company that employs thousands of people?
