No, but LV is popular with the Walmarks crowd these days. Have you seen the line to enter LV these days? It has become a status symbol vs a sign of wealth. Wealthy are secure in their dress, etc. and don’t need to flash labels.

I have bought a few for the wife over the past few years. She rarely uses them.

Stealth wealth is all the rage these days.

I have my own money and I dislike anyone opining how to spend it.

Purses are my weakness for sure. Going to Cannes this August and I’m totally coming home with either a Chanel or another Gucci.

my wife and daughter are into those high end purses and will travel to the ends of the earth looking for a specific one from a specific place, if they ever take them out of the closet and actually use them I don't notice/can't tell the difference, whatever makes them happy

I’ve gotten better about trading in/selling my used ones. I used to display them all.

I honestly don't know what they do with theirs we were in Zurich a couple of months ago and one of my daughter's goals was to go shop on "the most expensive street in Zurich( Bahnhofstrasse,") I knew it was pointless to ask but I did anyway, I asked "that's not how this is supposed to work is it?"

Marriages with tens of thousands of dollars of secrets ... awesome.

It’s called trust. I’m not interested in purses and she’s not interested guns. We trust each other to not be crazy with money.

My grandaughters BF is going to school in Portland ME, so she will be close to him too. It all came together. The other girl who is living with us is going to Maine. They want to be close, and Maine offered her a nice package.

I'm glad its all over...But still hard to believe its actually happening for her..

A few years back, I bought my wife a Goyard bag (~3k iirc) that she had mentioned she liked in passing. She was excited to receive it but a few days later, she asked if we could return it. She said it felt silly to carry around such an expensive purse that felt the same quality as her $300 purse she got in Italy.

Instead, we took the money from the return and bought custom drapes for a couple of rooms in our house that she had been wanting.
