Historically I'm the cook, but since she stays home with the kids now she has taken the lead. She leans on cook books for creativity, generally speaking she has done great.

Wife does the majority of the cooking and I usually do most of the pick up, clean up and put away.

Me. Probably 70/30 split I work from home and my wife is a teacher. She usually done with standing and talking by 5 and I’m tired of staring at a screen and sitting.

She was a SAHM for 12 years and did all the cooking so when she went back to work it just made more sense.

She doesn’t love it and I do so it works out.

Isn’t that just literally doing almost nothing but letting it cook down?

Yes, but I want it do be done. Sitting in an airplane for 15 hours requires nothing from me, but I really wish it were 1.5 hours. I am not very patient.

Not that she can’t cook, but I enjoy it more and have a wider variety so I cook majority of big meals.

My wife's family thinks they can cook. They taught her.

I do 100% of the cooking in my house. She can bake, though.

My wife is the same way and I’m big on cooking anything down, even just for taco meat I like to let it simmer for a long time.

Same here. She cleans and does laundry.

If she sees me cleaning things she missed, she gets upset with me because it makes her feel bad. So I don’t let her see me doing her job better.

I only grill- outside. My wife does all of the inside cooking. She’s awesome. No pics. I no longer stereotype all guys that cook as gheys. But, just know that while you’re sweating over a stove, I’m in the recliner- getting served a delicious meal by a beautiful woman.

Spin off: what is it culturally about Louisiana that has men cooking at a greater percentage than other states?

You’re asking me, specifically? I have no idea what makes a man want to cook- other than absolute necessity- which I solved when I married my wife (no pics).

How many baws are the main cooks in the house? I cook 90% of the meals in the house and wouldn’t have it any other way - I like prepping and cooking.

Pretty much the same in our castle. One factor that adds to the numbers is my wife is basically legally blind and handling boiling liquids is not always the safest thing.

I do a majority of the cooking and my own laundry. I go in earlier and get off earlier than she does so it's that or the kids are eating dinner at 9PM. Wife washes the dishes and does hers and the kids laundry. I hate doing dishes with a passion.

Louisiana different. Men probably cook as much or more than the women in this state.

Had a manager years ago that was based out of Florida and he always said, "all men in Louisiana can cook, probably better than their wives".
