The bear was spotted in Central earlier in the week, and now it's showing up in the Broadmoor/Sherwood area.
Putting the "Forest" back in Sherwood Forest.
Officials work to catch bear spotted in Baton Rouge with donuts and bear traps

quote:

BATON ROUGE - Broadmoor United Methodist Church is on lockdown after a bear traipsing around the Baton Rouge area was sighted near the church campus.

Law enforcement responded to the scene, where they said the bear was seen in a tree nearby. Sources confirmed the campus was placed on lockdown for the safety of faculty and the summer camp students there.
As of 11:00 a.m., the bear was hanging around in a tree in a homeowner's backyard. Officials told WBRZ reporter Destiny Beasley that it would "be a while" until they can get him down.

I love how all the “fur moms” are freaking out.

Bitch, your stupid chihuahuas aren’t gonna be roaming free and the bear eats them.

hope we don't ever get a bear in my neighborhood because they just might wake up and find my happy fat arse in one of their traps

It’s nice how after being ghetto long enough, places go back to nature

The earth is healing. Maybe mid city will be next

Pop him with a tranquilizer gun and set him outside of Twin Peaks next to the elk.

Bears are pretty smart. It was able to make it from Central to Broadmoor without getting hit by a car. More surprising no one shot it.

Dumb question...where in Louisiana would be natural bear habitat that it would make it to Baton Rouge? The Atchafalaya area?
