Me too. Basically this whole period of Law Enforcement history. Bonnie and Clyde, Dillinger, Baby Face Nelson... These criminals were essentially treated like a military enemy. Hunted down and taken out.

Melvin Purvis, the guy who got Dillinger and several others, was railroaded out of the Bureau by Hoover out of sheer jealousy.

You know they got pretty grubby sleeping rough all the time, and people didn't bathe too regularly back then anyway. Pass.

That's about 4'11" and 95 lbs of woman right there.

I used to hunt in Gibsland, LA. We hunted about a mile away from the marker. If I’m not mistaken, it’s like a concrete marker and when I saw it last years ago, it looked like someone had put a couple of slugs into it.

My mother grew up in Gibsland.
My grandmother was a schoolgirl in Arcadia when it happened. They brought the bodies there and set up the post office as a makeshift morgue where the govenment investigators dealt with the bodies. My grandmother and her friends took turns lifting each other up so they could see in the window. My grandmother saw the bodies on the table.

I always thought it was funny how she knew he was a homo and knew she would eventually be killed but stayed with him anyway.

Back in the mid 70s when the Arcadia paper changed hands, the new owner put together a “commemorative” edition with all the articles and photos from that time. I still have a copy.
The bodies were initially brought into town and laid out on the railroad platform in town.

TIL the film has been in development so long that Newman and Redford were supposed to be the original leads.

Not by choice. He split open the head of his rapist with an iron bar and another inmate already doing a life sentence took the rap.

So did he continue being a homo once he got out?

That little thing ain't outgunning a BAR. The BAR spit out .30-06 at 10 rounds a second. It was limited in how large of a magazine it could accept.
I'm going with "hid and ambushed the frick out of Bonnie and Clyde" over "outgunned Bonnie and Clyde".
