Watched Netflix’s The Highwaymen last night and didn’t realize they were “ambushed” in LA. Interesting stuff.

Several years back, I was working in that area and traveling some backroads through the woods. I randomly came across a granite marker in the woods, so I backed up to check it out. Come to find out, that was the spot where the ambush had occurred years ago. Not surprisingly, there was a bunch of holes in the marker from redneck’s deer rifles!

There’s a monument near where I live where they slaughtered two cops that were just driving down the road (motorcycle cops.)

Couldn’t outgun the BAR, but getting the drop on them sure helped.

I always thought there was something exotic and sexy about Blanche Barrow.

I have never been to any of the museums in Gibsland, but want to go. Early morning on the day that Bonnie and Clyde were shot, my grandfather was a young teenager selling fruit from a fruit stand in Shreveport when a man bought several pieces of fruit and left him a huge tip.

When he saw the newspaper the next day, he realized that it was Clyde Barrow.

My wife has a cousin who’s grandfather was Frank Hamer. Planning on watching the movie this evening.

My dads side of the family is from right around there in Jamestown. Drive by the monument all the time going out there. I was always fascinated by the thought when I was a kid.

I've been to the Texas Ranger museum in Waco, TX. They have some guns and stuff from the incident. I don't remember the details.
